Come out and enjoy a weekend of shooting and instruction. We are hosting an Appleseed shoot Saturday September 23 and Sunday September 24.
If you are unfamiliar with Project Appleseed this is a non-profit, non-political organization that teaches history and marksmanship. It is not a competition. You will learn the skills you need to be a "Rifleman".
The shooting is done at 25 meters .
What rifle do I need? Semi-auto, bolt action, .22LR, pistol caliber carbine, centerfire, iron sights, red dot, scopes are all welcome. Most shoot with a Ruger 10/22 type rifle.
What equipment do I need? A rifle sling(GI type is best), shooting mat or blanket to lay on, ammunition, 4 magazines and of course eye and ear protection.
How much ammunition do I need? 500 rounds.
What if I don't have something or it is not "right"? The instructors have extra items to loan including rifles, slings and magazine.
Most important is to bring a teachable attitude.
